News // 2013 Race Season


December 4th, 2013 // Eagle River, WI -- As most of you already know all three girls have had a very memorable and noteworthy season this past year. Their names are marked all over the record books, and are never going to go away. Paige and Natalie both ended up finishing there seasons as rookie of the year in their divisions. The girls can only hope that the 2014 season can be this great and so much more. As of right now we are currently searching for sponsorship to keep the girls on the track as much as we can. October 28th, 2013 // Eagle River, WI -- The Decker girls come from a snowmobiling family in the upper Midwest, push back when pushed -- especially by each other -- and aspire to NASCAR. Sounds familiar. Sisters Paige, 20, and Claire, 18, and cousin Natalie, 16, weren't just attempting to emulate Danica Patrick by participating in NASCAR's Drive for Diversity combine last week, but if they make the final cut for the program in December, they will have brought a story full circle. October 21st, 2013 // Eagle River, WI -- Paige, Claire and Natalie Decker have spent their summer weekends in the seats of their race cars competing on many race tracks throughout the Midwest. Paige and Claire competed in the Super Late Model racing division which is the highest class of stock car racing at many of the tracks in North America. Young Natalie was busy making her mark in the ARCA Super Truck crowd. With 4 podium finishes and a third place point standing for the season, she was also Rookie of the Year. Full Story

September 27th, 2013 // Eagle River, WI -- Natalie to finish the 2013 season October 3rd-6th at Oktoberfest race weekend in West Salem, Wisconsin. Oktoberfest is 4 days of racing that will include 18 divisions and over 500 race cars. After a great run this last weekend at Elko Speedway where Natalie had another podium finish in her SCAG Midwest Touring truck, we are excited for Oktoberfest weekend.

September 17th, 2013 // Eagle River, WI -- This year both Decker sisters competed in the Tundra Super Late Model Series.  This series traveled to the following tracks; Golden Sands Speedway, Jefferson Speedway, LaCrosse Speedway, Marshfield Motor Speedway, and Slinger Speedway.  Not only did both the girls gain more seat time in the cars, they traveled to different tracks that they have never even seen before.  The girls competed in the series, and also made a lot of history as well. September 13th, 2013 // Eagle River, WI -- Friday night at Marshfield Motor Speedway Natalie came home with a trophy, however not for her 4th place finish in the ARCA Scag Midwest Truck race that evening. Steve Parsons, a 35 year veteran track announcer, presented Natalie with a special trophy in honor of his daughter, Kim, who passed away five years ago. Kim was a true supporter of all stock car drivers and also enjoyed spectating races where there were female race drivers. Full Story

September 6th, 2013 // Eagle River, WI -- Most of you have been right along my sister and I for our crazy up and down season this year.  We have had many lows, but also many highs that we have had to look back on.  Despite all the crazy rumors, my sister and I did not get into a fight at Marshfield Motor Speedway.

July 23rd, 2013 // Eagle River, WI -- Paige Wins Super Late TUNDRA Feature round four at Golden Sands Speedway.  It was all smiles for Paige and her crew last Friday as she recorded two feats which will never be washed from the history books becoming the first female and the first rookie to win a TUNDRA event.

Natalie Does the Milwaukee MileNATALIE DOES THE MILWAUKEE MILE

July 15th, 2013 // Eagle River, WI -- July 7th and 8th the Milwaukee Mile hosted ARCA Fest.  Two days of racing that ran five different divisions.  Natalie was there to compete in the Scag Midwest Truck Tour division.  This being her first time there, in fact her first time on a race track bigger than a 5/8 mile.

July 2nd, 2013 // Eagle River, WI -- On June 20th at the State Park Speedway Flip Merwin Memorial Race - Natalie's teachers from Northland Pines, Mr. and Mrs. Tulppo, came to cheer her on and experience the life of a race car driver in the pits and on the track.  That evening Natalie took 3rd in the heat and 5th in the feature.

June 16th, 2013 // Eagle River, WI -- Natalie's truck had serious issues at Madison International Speedway!  Just one of those bad days that all race teams encounter.  Hopefully she will be back running at the front of the pack in her truck again at Madison International Speedway on June 28th!

June 6th, 2013 // Eagle River, WI -- Natalie was back at State Park Speedway with her Limited Late Model.  We were still struggling with the car trying to get a good set up after her crash two weeks earlier.  By the time the feature came along, Ben Martinson (Natalie's crew chief for her Late Model) found a good set up that Natalie liked.  She led the feature until the white flag lap. Full Story

May 29th, 2013 // Eagle River, WI -- If you were out and about at State Park Speedway, Marshfield Motor Speedway, or Golden Sands this weekend, the Decker name was a threat at all three tracks.  Paige and younger sister Claire, competed in three races this past weekend, and successfully made it through the whole weekend with strong finishes and no damage to the cars. After just two races last year in a Pathfinder Truck, it was decided to run Natalie on the complete tour this season. April 17th, 2013 // Eagle River, WI -- Natalie put her first race of 2013 under her belt on April 14th, a cold weekend in Rockford, IL.  Natalie competed in the first Big 8 Series Late Model race of the season. This was one of the strongest fields of racers ever gathered for a Big 8 race on one of the toughest race tracks in the country.

February 26th, 2013 // Eagle River, WI -- Paige left school Wednesday, and got down in Daytona, Florida late Wednesday night.  Accompanying her down in Florida was crew chief Toby Nuttleman, car owner Mark Kraus, and dad Allen Decker.  The initial plan was to practice on Thursday, and then compete Friday and Saturday, which meant Paige would be flying home Sunday. January 9th, 2013 // Eagle River, WI -- Paige Decker and father Allen Decker (former snowmobile racer) had a show off this past Tuesday at the famous World Championship Snowmobile Derby.  Allen has been busy putting together his old twin track sled, and also Chuck Decker’s former sled.  Spectators started to gather, and the idea that Paige and Allen take some laps together was mentioned. Photo
